When I was a child, I dreamed of a career that I knew would require a long educational journey after high school. I needed a Ph.D. to enter my dream field. After I graduated from high school, I became very afraid that I would not be able to reach my dream, so I studied a field I was not as passionate about. Years later, after entering the career world, I deeply regretted not entering the field I dreamed of, yet was worried that it was "too late" to go back to college. After some soul searching, I went back to college and earned my Ph.D. I feel amazing now that I achieved my lifelong dream, and I want to encourage others to do the same. If I can, then you can!
